“Let them cook: Why GTA fans are losing patience”

Grand Theft Auto is a popular open-world video game series owned by world-renowned Rockstar Games. Recently, it has been experiencing hate after avid users left frustrated, as the highly anticipated GTA 6 is to be delayed. The supposed GTA 6 was set to be launched in May 2025. An insider scoop from Reddit posted that it may be further delayed until May 2026. Rockstar Games has since confirmed this delay. 

Fans have been blowing up Reddit comments secretly and quoting “ I knew this would happen. Let them cook” and “Pretty sure I’ll be a grandparent by the time GTA 7 gets released, and I don't even have kids”. GTA has been around for 27 years, and the next release of GTA 6 is expected to be a special one. According to Times India, “The major element is the expansion of size and complexity of the map over GTA titles past, and Rockstar hailing a 'living world' where there are details at every corner (Desk, 2025).
